Terms of sale & use

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the coursier.paris website and the ordering of express delivery services for documents and parcels (“deliveries”) in Paris and the Île-de-France region from COURSIER.PARIS (“we”, “us”). Any order implies unreserved acceptance of these terms.

2. The service

We arrange the collection and delivery of a shipment between two addresses located in the départements 75, 77, 78, 91, 92, 93, 94 and 95, under three options: Standard, Express and Cargo bike. The announced times are service targets, counted from pickup, and not contractual guarantees of result unless expressly stated (“guaranteed slot”). Deliveries are carried out by professional, insured partner carriers.

3. Accepted shipments

Maximum sizes and weights per format are listed on the Pricing page. The following are excluded: hazardous materials, illegal goods, live animals, cash and bearer securities, and shipments whose contents breach transport regulations. The sender guarantees that the contents are lawful and that the packaging is suitable.

4. Price and payment

The price is calculated from the distance, the format and the option chosen, then displayed inclusive of all taxes before confirmation. It is locked when the order is placed. When the order is placed as a delivery request (form or phone), the price is confirmed before the courier sets off. Payment is made by bank card or online payment method; for business accounts, by monthly invoicing under the agreed terms. Surcharges may apply to options (waiting time, additional stop, declared value) and are shown before confirmation.

5. Performance, delay and cancellation

The sender ensures that someone is present at the pickup and delivery addresses and that the information provided is accurate (floor, door code, contact). If delivery is impossible, the courier contacts the recipient and then the sender; a return to the sender may be charged as a delivery. An order may be cancelled free of charge until a courier is assigned; beyond that, fees corresponding to the journey already undertaken may be retained.

6. Liability and insurance

Each delivery is covered by the partner carrier’s insurance within the legal limits applicable to road freight transport. Enhanced insurance with declared value may be offered as an option. Any reservation must be made on delivery and confirmed in writing within three days. We cannot be held liable for indirect damage, force majeure, incorrect information supplied by the customer or unsuitable packaging.

7. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods transport services fully performed before the end of the withdrawal period with the consumer’s agreement.

8. Business accounts

Opening a Business account is subject to approval. It gives access to monthly invoicing, volume-based rates and the attachment of several users. Invoices are payable on receipt unless otherwise agreed; any late payment incurs the statutory penalties.

9. Use of the website

The user undertakes to provide accurate information and not to disrupt the operation of the service. We may suspend access in the event of fraudulent or abusive use.

10. Complaints and mediation

Any complaint should be sent to contact@coursier.paris. Failing an amicable solution, consumers may use a consumer mediator free of charge. French law applies.
